At Ávila, we believe that staying active—mentally, socially, and physically—is critical to quality of life. That’s why we are committed to providing extensive recreational, social, and educational activities programs that offer our more than any other independent senior community.
We offer regularly scheduled trips to shows and events at The Palace Theatre, Proctor’s, Saratoga Performing Arts Center, and Tanglewood, to name a few. Our on-site activities and clubs cover the full spectrum of resident interests—from Bridge Club, Garden Club, Book Club, Theatre Club, and Travel Club to our wine and cheese events and musical and theater performances. Many of our residents stay involved in pursuits and passions they enjoyed long before moving to Ávila—from sports to volunteerism.

Fitness and Wellness Program
Our fitness and wellness programs are designed to strengthen and enhance mind, body and spirit. Ávila residents can choose from more than 25 fitness classes each week, including chair Pilates, strength training, water aerobics, and aquatic biking. Fitness professionals trained to work with active seniors teach all of our classes. View our schedule of events.
