Ávila Retirement Community held an official groundbreaking ceremony for the building of its expansion at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 2. Called The Lodge at Ávila, the new neighborhood will help the full-service retirement community grow to better suit the needs of current residents and the surrounding senior community.

On Thursday, March 11, 2010, Ávila Retirement Community welcomed local senior citizens to join in their community excitement as they celebrated Havana Night. The evening included food, live music and performances, raising over $1,200 for the local Community Hospice.
